Review of Medieval Entertainment

Medieval entertainment did exist and with it a bond with other times when humans behaved as humans do. After all, all work and no play would drive even the most devout of knights to distraction! The jovial jesters perform hilarious medieval entertainment and they will take you back in time on an exciting historical journey! Come with us now as we travel back to our favorite kingdoms and castles with UGO’s Medieval Entertainment Guide.
Defeated knights had to give up their horse and their armor so a good fighter could make a fortune at the tournament. At first battle armor and sharp weapons were used but in the 13th century blunt weapons were introduced. Our combat is full speed, full power and un-choreographed recreation of the 14th century tournament. This is only possible because of the combined over 4 decades of martial arts (eastern and western) experience of Peter and Jason, and means that the excitement is unable to be rivaled.
Castles III has been on the top of my Most Wanted list since the release of the sequel, but alas, it was never to be. The result is more than a decade of wanting, waiting, and thinking of all the cool things it could feature as technology progressed. The Lord, Lady and Nobles of the castle would eat their food from silverware. Other inhabitants would eat their food from wooden or horn dishes. Hawks were trained to hunt game birds and every medieval castle had a falconer, assigned to train young birds for this sport.
For example, while cities will serve your kingdom well financially, castles offer better defenses and are hubs for military operations. They are highly popular for themed wedding entertainment and a medieval theme is particularly requested at the many wedding we help arrange in castles around the UK. Finally, Medieval purists will be glad to see that you may now bombard your enemy’s stronghold with flaming catapult missiles, while besieged castles can happily pour boiling oil upon those who dare to come close enough.
But, instead of the castles and untouched fairy tale forests there will be western villages and vast plains showing signs of wandering life. Instead of the Dragons and mystical creatures there will be Zombies and unfriendly wildlife, perhaps even the occasional bandits. In large cities like London permanent theaters could be found, but traveling actors brought plays to smaller towns and out lying manors and castles. In addition to plays, poetry was very popular and, with the invention of the printing press, books became much more easily available and affordable. Their journey will take them though the onsite castle and also a dungeon maze. Their objective is to retrieve relics located within the kingdom while fighting off villains encountered along the way.
